Five Pens For Five Nobel Prize Winner Writers,

five fountain pens designed by renowned architects and designers

Toyo Ito, Alessandro Mendini, Cleto Munari, Alvaro Siza Viera, and Oscar Tusquets dedicated to Nobel Prize winners for literature,

Nagib Mahfouz, Toni Morrison, Wole Soyinka, José Saramago, and Saul Bellow

 

 

☻ 6:00 pm. The presentation of the Italian bestseller La Casta

by renowned journalist (Il Corriere della Sera) GIAN ANTONIO STELLA,

followed by a book signing

 

 

☻ 6:45 pm. The American premiere of

Odissee. Italiani sulle rotte del sogno e del dolore

(with English subtitles) by GIAN ANTONIO STELLA and

GUALTIERO BERTELLI with LA COMPAGNIA DELLE ACQUE,

Paolo Favorido, Rachele Colombo, Giuseppina Casarin

(Piano, accordion, guitar and voice)

one of the best known folk music groups in Italy

Odissee captures the hopes and disappointments of the Italian emigrants who left home and family at the end of the 19th century to find their fortunes in faraway lands.

The ninety-minute performance alternates tales, vintage documents,

stunning old images and songs taken from the Italian and overseas tradition.
