A new categories in our blog

Dear Friends,

I've finally decided to learn Spanish! Yeap! Working in a language school for now 12 years, and never taking the time to learn an other language! How sad! But not anymore.

Becoming a student again myself, I realized how much more exposure is needed outside of the classroom. There is always the restaurant next door, where the owner is Mexican and loves listening to my struggling first steps into the language, but I really need more.

So I am going to be searching for new fun venues to practice.

Being fluent in French (but of course...) I started my search with French websites first. It is easier to assess the quality of the material offered and to test all the levels. Once more familiar with the French sites I will be starting my search for Spanish, Italian and German ones.

If you know of any sites that might interest other brave language learners, email me. I will post it in this new category called: "language" online (replace Language with French, Spanish etc...). Check our first log in this new category at  French online

I will also be looking for Kids stuff. Check our For kids only (and kids at heart!) category.

Enough talking, I mean writing...

Have a wonderful day!

Ojos de Brujo this coming Friday!

June 22 2007,  8:00 PM

Grand Performances presents free performing arts that reflect the best of global culture and inspire community among the diverse peoples of Los Angeles.

Barcelona-based Ojos de Brujo has garnered wide acclaim for its adventurous flamenco sound. The heartbeat of the music is the palmas – flamenco’s rhythmic handclapping – surrounded by vocals, cajon, turntables, guitars, electronics and various percussion instruments. Mix in a bit of Catalan rumba, hip hop, salsa, funk, and deep in the groove reggae and the result is fiery, energetic, and seductive music that will have everyone swirling to the heady concoction.

Don't miss ODB's first time headlining in Los Angeles...this is their only venue, and their only performance in Southern California!!!

Bonjour from Paris France

Bonjour from Paris France,

late spring 2007 in Boullay In Paris and all around France we're into late spring.

The days are warmer after a wet month of May and thoughts are turning to summer - when we slow down and enjoy a bit of vacation.

If you're in Paris now or very soon, don't forget to stop by the Eiffel Tower and take a free lesson on scuba diving in the pool right under the Tower!

Starting in July there will be thousands bicycles available for free, just like in Lyon. Bike around Paris rather than walking.

How cool is that?
